How are you? I hope you are fine. I am Susana Valladares and I am writing because I have always followed your singer career, and I think you are a good one. Last friday I went to one of my classes in Eastern Washington University, and we had a lesson about Irony in which your hit, "Ironic", was the main example. We realized that you song wasn't exactly Irony because none of your lines were types of Irony (verbal, dramatic, situational), except for the line: "And isn't it ironic... don't you think". I don't want you to think that all your lyrics are wrong but I want you to know what irony really is in order to expand your knowledge.
