I chose several audio podcasts from The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/ref/multimedia/podcasts.html). The link above is part of the Music Popcast podcasts. I choose this one as an example because I love music, and it is my favorite topic. However, I think that all The New York Times podcasts are very interesting.
I chose them because I think that The New York Times is one of the best newspapers worldwide. Besides, I do believe that to learn a language you have to find out an interesting way of doing it. So, I know that The New York Times catches my attention through those different kinds of podcasts. For example, it has topics like: literature, music, science, health, world view news, interviews, and so on.
In addition, I really want to go on learning English through these podcasts because I think that I am very interesting in those topics, and I would like to tell my future students what it's happening around the world, and in the USA. Moreover, a good teacher has to know the latest news. Indeed, from my point of view, I think that if you are an English teacher, you have to know worldwide news.
Finally, I can say that I really would like listening to these audio podcasts everyday since I know that it would be very helpful to improve my listening skills, and critical thinking. Besides, I would speak in English with other native American speakers through Internet, and we would share opinions about the latest news.
